Tim Lavin

Tim Lavin is the President and CEO of BalanceCXI, which he co-founded in 2010.

In 2001 Tim joined Ambergris Solutions in Manila, the Philippines, in the pre-funding and pre-revenue stages of the company’s evolution. He built the operational capabilities of the company to include Baleen, a software based performance and change management scorecard which differentiated Ambergris Solutions from its competitors. As Chief Operating Officer, Tim secured the company’s first partnership which was the catalyst for institutional investment and grew to become the company’s largest client. Ambergris Solutions attracted, retained and grew with numerous Fortune 500 partners en route to becoming one of the premier BPO companies in Asia. In 2005, with over 3,000 agents and multiple operating facilities, Ambergris Solutions was acquired by Canadian telecom giant TELUS. Post-acquisition, Tim returned to the States as Vice President of US Operations & Client Services, and oversaw the Company’s domestic expansion which included the acquisition of a 104,000 square foot facility in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Prior to Ambergris Solutions, Tim joined Cornerstone Integrated Services in Austin, Texas, also in early start-up. He helped grow that company to over $12M in annual revenue before it was acquired by Harte-Hanks. He started his career as a call center agent at FirstUSA Bank, where he was rapidly promoted to management, eventually becoming the youngest corporate officer in the Bank’s history.

Tim graduated from Maine Central Institute in 1989. He served honorably in the US Army and is a decorated Gulf War veteran. He sits on numerous boards including the University of Maine Presque Isle Foundation, the Northern Maine Fair Association and the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee.
